A short note about the little information this site collects, and what happens to it.

What the site collects

If you use the form on the visit page, we receive the name, email address, optional telephone number and message you type. Nothing else is required, and no account is created.

The web server keeps ordinary access logs: the address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser type. These logs exist to keep the site running and are not used to build profiles.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. There is no analytics script, no embedded video, and no third-party font service — everything needed to display the pages is served from this domain.

What we do with it

  • reply to your note and discuss the work;
  • prepare an estimate or a written quote;
  • keep a record of the job while it is in the workshop.

We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone, except where a carrier needs an address to deliver a book back to you.

How long it is kept

Correspondence is kept while the job is open, and for up to two years afterwards in case you come back with a question about the binding. Server logs are rotated monthly and kept for no more than twelve months.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to studio@fernhollowbindery.org and we will deal with it within a month.

Who is responsible

Fern Hollow Bindery, 14 Mill Lane, Fern Hollow, Vermont. Telephone (802) 555-0147.

Changes

If this note changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of older versions because there is nothing here worth archiving.
